Our EQUINE CBD horse product is made with both Full Spectrum CBD oil and hemp-derived CBD isolate, which are blended in organic MCT oil as a carrier. The Full Spectrum CBD oil we use in our Equine product is the exact same oil we use in our flagship human product, FULL SPECTRUM CBD 3000. Our FULL SPECTRUM CBD oil is considered the most potent and medicinal of all our CBD offerings. “Full spectrum” is the term used to describe a CBD oil that contains a full range cannabinoid and terpene profile, including a tiny amount of THC. Our Full spectrum CBD oil is naturally abundant in vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, terpenes, chlorophyll, flavonoids and a long list of cannabinoids, including: CBD, CBDA, CBDV, CBG, CBGA, CBN, delta-9-THC, delta-8-THC, THCA and THCV. We always recommend this oil as the first line of defense for more serious conditions and for the greatest therapeutic benefits. This oil is truly unique and delivers a 2:1 ratio of CBD to CBDA. When a full spectrum oil is used the compounds present in the hemp work in concert to deliver the most beneficial effects, this is referred to as the “entourage effect.” The entourage effect is the result (the effect) produced from the synergistic interaction of the cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes naturally found in hemp. One reason we use MCT oil as a carrier oil is that since it is so easily absorbed by the liver, the onset of effects of the CBD tends to be quicker. Another advantage of MCT oil is that it evenly absorbs cannabis compounds such as CBD, allowing for accurate dosing in each drop. Not only that, but research in animals shows the “enhancing effect of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) on intestinal absorption of various compounds.” This means MCT oil could potentially help to increase the bioavailability of the compounds within it; namely, cannabinoids such as CBD.
